WILL YOU SEND ME GAMES I ALREADY HAVE?

No! When you sign up, we'll email you a form to fill out so you can tell us what games you already have. That way, we can be sure to send you new and different games and expansions every month. And if we mess up, we'll send a replacement at no cost. Fair warning though, if you don't tell us what you have, we won't know which games not to send you.


DO I HAVE TO SEND THE GAMES BACK?

No! They are yours to keep! Game Box Monthly is not a rental service, nor do we send used games. Every game we mail is new and has not been owned, used, or played before.


WHEN AM I BILLED AND WHEN ARE GAMES DELIVERED?

When you first sign up, you'll be billed at the time of sign up. If you sign up more than 10 days before the end of the month, your subscription will begin that month. If you sign up later than 10 days before the end of the month, your subscription will begin the following month. If you choose the month to month plan (as opposed to the 3 and 6-month prepaid plans), you'll be re-billed on the first of each subsequent month of your subscription. So if you sign up before the 10 day cutoff in January, you'll receive a game in January and be re-billed on the 1st of February. If you sign up after the 10 day cutoff in January, you'll receive a game in February and be re-billed on the 1st of March.


Until recently, our policy has been to ship in the second half of the month (for logistical reasons I won't bore you with here). But we've recently reached a size where it's no longer feasible to process all the orders and have them reach people before the end of the month, so from now on we'll start processing orders as soon as the new month begins and ship sometime within the first two weeks. Any new orders that come in over the course of the month but before the cutoff will be processed about once a week.


DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes! Though international shipping rates will apply and vary depending on the region. Shipping for Canadian orders is $10 and all other international orders are $20. Note that shipping surcharges are only added to international orders.


February 2016 Edit: Unfortunately, due to a high and increasing number of fraudulent orders, we've had to remove Mexico and a few other Latin American countries as a possible location. We hope to have a better fraud prevention system in place in the future, but for now, the best course for us is to not ship to these countries at all. We apologize for any inconvenience.


WHAT KIND OF GAMES WILL YOU SEND ME?
We do our best to send a variety of games. We scour the game world to find games from different publishers with different themes, mechanics, styles, and identities. We'll always try to send you something totally different from last month's delivery. We only have two firm guidelines that guide our game selection. First, games must be under 2 lbs (1 kg) to keep shipping costs reasonable. And second, since we're catering to board game geeks, we're avoiding the more classic and mainstream games like Monopoly, Scrabble, Yahtzee, etc. You can take a look at our Past Games section to see some recent games we've shipped.

HOW BIG ARE THE GAMES?

Because of shipping considerations, we generally have to limit the size of the games we send to 2 lbs (1 kg) or less or 345 cubic inches in volume. Sometimes we get great deals which give us the leeway to send larger games, but generally they tend to be on the smaller size. Look at some games whose MSRP is in the $25-$30 range and that will give you an idea of our typical game size.


IS THERE AN OPTION FOR ME TO GET BIGGER GAMES?

Not yet, but we may implement some kind of super box sometime in the future. We have to figure out what the shipping costs would be and if there's enough interest. If you'd be interested in an option for bigger games, send us an email and let us know!


CAN I SUGGEST A GAME THAT I THINK YOU SHOULD SEND?
Of course! We love suggestions! Just send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Game Suggestion" and the game's name, publisher, and preferably a link to the publisher's or game's website.



CAN I PITCH A GAME TO YOU?
Sorry, but we're not a game publisher. We don't make games here, we just find great ones and send them to our customers. But if there's a game that you think is awesome, send us an email and tell us about it!


I'M A BLOGGER/YOUTUBER/ETC. CAN I GET A FREE COPY TO REVIEW FOR MY AUDIENCE?

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Promotional Box Request". Unfortunately, we can't accommodate all the requests we get for press samples. But send us an email with: URL, number of subscribers/readers, and number of monthly page/video views and we'll get back to you if we can.


RETURN POLICY


Here at Game Box Monthly we try to have our return policy be as fair and hassle free as possible. We offer a 15 day window (from receipt of the game) to return your game if any of the issues below pertain to you. To initiate the return process please email our customer service at [email protected] All of our return requests are reviewed and responded to within 1-2 business days. If you receive 2 of the same game with your order you can easily return it to us. If you receive a game you have already listed as “owned” please email us immediately and we will begin the process of the return/replacement. While we do our absolute best to make sure our customers are happy with their monthly delivery, we cannot guarantee that every individual will be happy with every game they get. As such, we are unable to accept returns if a customer feels it's not a good fit or they don't like it. However, if a customer does not feel the game they received is age appropriate for their family/children please email us as soon as possible. These situations will be considered on a case by case basis. Thank you all so much for your business!


REFUND POLICY


We will happily offer refunds under the situation that a customer accidentally creates 2 separate subscriptions and as such is charged twice for the same thing. If you realize this has happened, please email us immediately and we will begin the refund process. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to show up on your card, bank, or Paypal statement. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds to any subscriber who has not cancelled their subscription(s) after the renewal date has already taken place. Subscriptions *must* be canceled before the renewal date to avoid being charged again. This holds true regardless of how quickly a subscription has been canceled after a renewal.


CANCELLATION POLICY


To avoid renewals of any kind you must cancel your subscription before the next renewal date. If you cancel after the renewal date you will be charged for the next subscription no matter how soon after the renewal you cancel. You may cancel at ANY time and it will not effect your current subscription. Example: You pay for a 6 month subscription and cancel 3 days later. You will still receive your full subscription, but will not be renewed for the next cycle.
